help!!

I am seriously struggling with finding clothes that are relatively cheap, and meet the requirements for thee jerusalem centre! This is all I have to wear for 3 1/2 months, can I help it if I don't want it to be too ugly?

BYU Jerusalem Center

-2-3 outfits for church ( mid-calf or ankle length dresses or skirts, with necklines that cover the collarbone and sleeves that cover the upper arm)
-3-6 pairs cargo pants (must be loose fitting and go to the ankle)
- 6-8 cotton or cotton-blend shirts or blouses (loose fitting with neckline at or above the collarbone, and women need 1 long-sleeved blouse)
-1 windbreaker or light jacket
-7-8 pairs socks
-1-2 pairs knee length shorts to wear on beach over swimsuit
- 7-8 undergarments
-1 wide-brimmed hat for field trips
- 1 pair good walking shoes
- 1 pair dress shoes for church (no high heels, no open-toed shoes
-1 pair gym shoes with non-marking soles
-1 pair old tennis shoes, tevas or aquasocks for Hezikiah's tunnel, because of high salt content of water, shoes will get ruined
- 1 modest, one-piece swimsuit ( Red & Dead seas are extremely harsh on fabrics, it will ikely get ruined by salt water)
- 1 pair pajamas & slippers
- Clothes for jogging, weight lifting, ect. Shorts cannot be worn outside the building, so if you plan to jog or participate in athletic activities outside the building, bring sweats/athletic pants and loose-fitting sleeved top
- 1 large scarf (you will be required to cover head/hair when visiting some sites
- 1 wristwatch

I'm the kind of girl who can't go on a trip to southern alberta without packing at least half my bedroom, and all I get to take on this trip is 1 suitcase and some carry-ons, and plus all of this I have to take school supplies, church materials, miscellaneous (blowdryer, curling iron, alarm clock, headlight, toiletries, make-up, jewellery, beach towel, computer, ect, ect!) So if anyone has good suggestions of where to buy any of this stuff relatively cheap and still relatively cute, (I've already gone to VV) let me know! Cause I need help!

All I want to do is TRAVEL!!!

So I have realized that by the time I have been out of high school for 2 years, I will have lived 4 different places (hawaii, cardston, jerusalem, mexico)! I feel like when most people travel they are just there for a few weeks, and then they leave. They eat the food, do some shopping, see the tourist sites and leave. Whereas it seems when I travel, when I leave, I call that place home. I get attached, I get to know the community, the culture, make new friends, make memories in that make that place special to me. I just love going to new places! However, after mexico, in fall 2012, I am just hooped about what to do! I will be completely broke, so I will definitley have to work for a semester, but then after that what should I do? Go to Nova Scotia and take interior decorating? Get a working visa and live in Australia for a year? Backpack Europe? Volunteer in an orphanage in Peru? Go nanny somewhere in Europe? If anyone has any good ideas where I can get a good career and travel, let me know! All I want to do is travel!

I love Summer:)

So my lovely family came up for the weekend and it was so fun! Saturday we drove up to red rock, and saw a bear on the way, did blackiston falls, got weiners of waterton, walked around the town, went to cameron falls, drove to cameron lake, did bearshump & got ice cream in mountain view!  And I found a few more things to add to my bucket list for summer! At Crandell campground, they just put up these adorable tipi's, and how fun would it be to rent one out for a night! I haven't gone camping for ages!! And also, I want to backpack the Tamarack Trail! It's only 1 night, but still I have never backpacked before and I've been dying to for ages! And I also want to eat at the dining room at the Prince of Wales one time this summer! It is so cute & it has the most beautiful view!! And I am so happy because it is finally starting to warm up! It's supposed to be 24 degrees on tuesday! Almost tanning weather!!! Wooo!!!

BYUJ

So I found out something SO exciting yesterday!! I got accepted into BYU Jerusalem!! I still cannot believe it! Okay I am going to give you a brief summary of how this all came about! So I had heard about BYUJ a couple times in passing, but I never gave it much thought, I never had a burning desire to go there, whatever. But my second semester in Hawaii, I was assigned to go to a family history sunday school class, and I didn't really want to, because they were assigning us alphabetically, and so none of my friends were going. But I was like whatever, I'll just go. So I did, and I went in and sat by this girl, and we started talking and she was telling me everything she had done, and she said she went to BYUJ for a semester. And I was like what! Thats so cool! Because I had never met anyone who had gone! And she told me how great of an experience it was, and how much she loved it! So as soon as I got home from church, I looked up the BYUJ website and read everything & watched the videos, and made sure I was totally qualified to apply. So I called my parents, and told them I wanted to go, and they asked a few questions about it, and they said it sounded great (I think they thought I wasn't actually going to apply, that it was just another one of my my many big dreams I rant about!). But that night, I printed off the application and got started! The application was ALOT of stuff you had to do, I almost gave up a couple times because of it! But no, I got everything done, and sent it off by the deadline, and I honestly didn't think I would get in, but I thought I may as well try!! So I sent in the application March 16, and then I didn't hear anything back until about the middle of May, when I got a packet from them. They said that they accept 200 people to the program, and if more than that apply, they do a random draw, and whoever doesn't make it on the list gets put on a waiting list. And I was number 10 on the waiting list. I thought I had no hope, and started looking into getting a working visa for Australia so I could go work there for a year in September. Then over the next few weeks, I found out I was down to #8, then to #4. Then on Monday, I got a call to my cell, and it was a lady from the application centre who said, I was off the waiting list, and I just needed to have a phone interview! So I had that yesterday, and at the end of that, she told me I was in!! I am SO excited!!

This is how I felt when I found out! I was sooo excited!! And I still am! And I guess who I really need to thank for all of this is my dear cousin Karen! When I was in grade 12, she was the one who wanted me to apply to BYU Provo, and go there with her, so she is the reason I wrote the ACT, and applied for BYU & BYUH, which is how I was able to apply for BYUJ (you have to have been going to school full time for the last 2 semesters at one of the BYU's)! So thank you Karen!!!

Now I just have to come up with $10,000!
Also, I either have to sign up for Arabic or Hebrew, and I have nooo idea which one to take, so any suggestions would be very helpful!!

I have the travel bug!

Haha I thought this seemed like an appropriate name for my new blog! I just can't seem to be able to stay in Edmonton! But really, after living there for 18 years, I need some change and I just seem to have the travel bug!
So I am living in Cardston with my grandparents, and working in Waterton and loving it! Working front desk at a hotel is a lot more stressful than I thought it would be, and I have to wake up at five everyday to get ready and drive to Waterton, but the mountains look so incredibly beautiful a 6am, it's worth it! Seriously though, if you have never driven to Waterton at 6am or earlier, you are missing out, it is stunning, I almost crash driving because I can't peel my eyes away from the mountains! Each day I see the same ones, and each day they continue to take my breath away. Waterton is truly one of the most beautiful places on earth, it actually reminds me alot of Hawaii, with the huge, beautiful mountains, haha except they are snow-capped instead of lush and green, and there are glacier lakes instead of the ocean!

This picture does NOT do it justice, but there was the PRETTIEST sunset ever on the way home from work, it was comparable to some of the one's in Hawaii :)

Old Chief! My favorite mountain ever, this is a horrible picture of it! This is the mountain that almost makes me crash, because driving into Waterton, it is on the left side of me! I cannot wait to climb it this summer!!
